Natalia Osipova – Pure Dance

About the Show

Multi award-winning Russian classical ballerina Natalia Osipova is a major star in the dance world. She started formal ballet training at age 8, joining the Bolshoi Ballet at age 18 and dancing many of the art form’s biggest roles. After leaving the Bolshoi in 2011, she joined American Ballet Theatre as a guest dancer and later the Mikhailovsky Ballet. She joined The Royal Ballet as a principal in 2013 after her guest appearance in Swan Lake.

Superstar ballerina Natalia Osipova brings together a handpicked programme of exciting and eclectic dance works. Taking the audience on a journey from the world of classical ballet to contemporary repertoire, Osipova will dance pieces that she has rarely performed in the UK, alongside two brand new works by Alexei Ratmansky and Ivan Perez that have been specially commissioned for the programme. She will be joined on stage by three dancers, including a very special guest – American Ballet Theatre Principal David Hallberg, continuing their dynamic partnership for the international stage.
