About the Show

TWENTY-SEVEN PERSPECTIVES refers to an exploratory work created by conceptual Swiss artist Rémy Zaugg – 27 esquisses perceptives (27 perceptive sketches). Zaugg takes a painting by Cezanne and breaks it down into its component parts. Taking inspiration from this approach, Maud Le Pladec, alongside composer Pete Harden, used the structure of Franz Schubert’s famous Unfinished Symphony to craft a series of fragmentary reinterpretations. Le Pladec reinvents her own choreographic expression, entrusting ten dancers from a range of backgrounds with her pared-down movement.
