Mark Morris Dance Group (USA) – Pepperland

Pepperland is directed and choreographed by Mark Morris. It was commissioned by Liverpool City Council in 2017 as part of the Sergeant Pepper at 50 festival. The piece is set to arrangements by composer Ethan Iverson of 6 songs from the Beatles’ album Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Ban ( Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, With a Little Help from My Friends, A Day in the Life, When I’m 64, Within You Without You, Penny Lane) interspersed with original chamber music compositions inspired by the album.
