UK Premiere. Living space has always fascinated Christian Rizzo. une maison (a house) is a hybrid theatre piece in which performers into a dialogue with a suspended, mobile lighting structure. With this work, choreographer and artist Christian Rizzo continues his compelling exploration of the inscription of bodies in space. A monumental, mobile structure made of fluorescent lights hangs over the stage, and functions as the architecture, the scenography and the light source of this piece. It hovers above the performers, illuminating and sheltering them. As the stage gradually becomes covered in earth, the house is a space where bodies circulate, murmur, resound. The company plays out encounters and conflicts, solitude and community.
