Alexander Whitley Dance Company – Celestial Motion II

A shared virtual reality dance experience, Celestial Motion II transports audiences to an alternate universe, joined by a virtual cast of world-class dancers on a journey towards the sun. The experience, created with Fenyce Workspace, uses HTV Vive motion tracking technology to playfully recreate users’ bodies in a visually thrilling virtual world inspired by the world of solar physics. With a special introduction by celebrated scientist and TV journalist, Jim Al-Khalili, the work is a development from New Wave Associate Alexander Whitley’s stage production, 8 Minutes, presented at Sadler’s Wells in 2018.
