The show uses embedded audio description, sounds, lights and touch, as well as innovative new wearable technology, echome – which enhances the movements of dancers on stage and creates a live soundtrack. Audiences are invited to embrace the darkness and be guided through the most difficult and magical moments of life, uncovering powerful connections and displays of vulnerability as the experiences of blind and visually impaired company members are sensitively revealed. The company have been working together for two years to develop the performance, which calls for deep trust between all the performers. Weaving together the threads of inclusivity, self-expression and connection, Fireflies at Dawn explores the richness of shared humanity. This performance takes place at CAPA College, Mulberry Way, Wakefield WF1 2QN
