Eddie Izzard has been hailed as one of the foremost stand-ups of his generation. He takes ideas and situations and extrapolates then into bizarre, tangential, absurd and surreal comic narratives. Since his first stage appearance on London's West End in 1993 there have been a succession of sell-outs and critically acclaimed international tours. Eddie's musings have earned him countless awards including two Emmy Awards. Whilst initially renowned as a comic, Eddie is also now equally respected as a film, Theatre and TV actor.
Eddie Izzard invites you to his brand-new work-in-progress reading/performance of Charles Dickens' classic epic Great Expectations. Actor, comedian - Eddie's career spans both of these with record-breaking comedy tours and critically acclaimed film, TV and theatre performances. But few know that it was acting that was Eddie's first love. These warm-up shows offer the chance to see Eddie merge both crafts in a series of work-in-progress shows during which he follows in Dickens' footsteps with his reading/performance of the master's much-loved classic story.
