There’s no panto in Sussex this year… OH YES THERE IS! Bigfoot Arts Education, one of the UK’s largest independent creative arts education companies providing arts based learning to schools across the country, have partnered with The Royal Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne and top tech film company Smokescreen Visuals to virtually bring fabulous performances of Sleeping Beauty direct from the stage of The Royal Hippodrome and straight into classrooms and school halls across the UK. While many theatres are closed and pantomimes forced to cancel because of Covid 19, children across Sussex are missing out on the traditional Christmas show trip. Bigfoot Arts have come up with the perfect solution, filming their annual panto in the beautiful and historic Royal Hippodrome Theatre and making it extra special by asking for information from each school that books so that personalised jokes and surprises can be inserted into their copy of the film. The beautiful and historic Royal Hippodrome Theatre has hosted many stars over the years including Harry Houdini, Marie Lloyd, Ken Dodd, Vera Lynn, Bruce Forsyth, and now the top team of professional performers creating the magical pantomime Sleeping Beauty. Will the Prince find his way into the right panto? Will the ‘baddies’ learn to ‘let it go’? And will good triumph over evil with a ‘true loves kiss’?
