The works of Frank Bridge were championed by his more famous pupil, Benjamin Britten, and the quartet will play one of his favourite pieces – Bridge’s Phantasy Quartet . As a beautiful counterpoint, the musicians then move on to Walton’s Piano Quartet – heavily influenced by Ravel, this was first written when the composer was only 16, and subsequently revised throughout his life. No need to book, just come along and enjoy this sublime morning of music.
