Dorchester Piano Quartet

About the Show

The works of Frank Bridge were championed especially by his more famous pupil, Benjamin Britten, who loved this ‘Phantasy’ quartet, and played it frequently. William Walton was a student at Oxford when he wrote his brilliant piano quartet. It is a precocious work that shows Walton’s early love for the music of Herbert Howells and Ravel.
