Ensemble 360 was formed in 2005 to take up residency in South Yorkshire succeeding The Lindsays who were retiring as a quartet. The ensemble brings together musicians from across the globe to form one versatile ensemble of eleven musicians; five wind players, a pianist, double bassist and the Elisas String Quartet.
Beethoven’s Septet was his most popular work; an inventive, celebratory piece, full of youthful energy and generosity of spirit, punctuated by fanfares, solos, cadenzas and exuberant fireworks that give Ensemble 360 a chance to show off! The evening begins with a Romantic septet, inspired by Beethoven, written by his Swedish younger contemporary, and in between have Mozart’s sublime Clarinet Quintet. Three celebrated works of chamber music on a larger scale.
