Magdalena & The Mystical Birds

Magdalena and the Mystical Birds came together as a new band in late 2019. Writing original songs that range from light jazz to chanson and folk/blues to festival chants, they planned to launch on 21st March 2020 with a performance at The Lyric. Good preparation but poor timing, because it was the weekend that lockdown was announced, and they were to have no audience. Undeterred they pressed ahead and became ostensibly the ‘first’ band to play in lockdown.
