Nolan’s performance pays homage to the Variety Theatre and TV stars of the past, whilst at the same time raising the expectations of a modern day audience. Specialising in ventriloquism, puppetry, magic and zany physical comedy, he is also expert at accents, character vocals and impressions. Scott Penrose, a past President of The Magic Circle and a multi-award winning magician, will present Robert-Houdini’s Marvellous Orange Tree from 1840 and John Nevil Maskelyne’s Psycho, the mind reading automaton from 1882, returning to the British stage for the first time in over 100 years
