Romeo & Juliet – A Grand Romance

This is a community co-production where the RSC and The Grand Theatre have brought together participants from community groups across Blackpool to create a performance piece that responds to the RSC’s 2019 touring production of Romeo & Juliet. These are groups who would rarely meet, who would rarely set foot in a theatre and have little or no experience of Shakespeare. Alongside scenes from Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet you will hear the participants own stories of love and romance. You might already be familiar with the most famous story of love at first sight, this is your chance to come and share in the excitement of first love on Blackpool’s Prom!
