The Valley of Queens

“You know sausages, why can’t they make it any other shape? There was lots of meat shops back then and they would have these hanging everywhere! Sausages hai rabba! big black sausages!” The Valley of Queens is a verbatim piece of theatre based on migration stories of South Asian women living in Sandwell Valley, West Bromwich. These women share songs, gidha boliyaan & memories from 1960’s & 70’s onwards. The play takes you on a whirlwind of positivity and joy through stories of strength, struggle and resilience.In English – some spoken Panjabi
