X Factor star Sam Bailey announces West End concert

Former X Factor winner Sam Bailey has announced a one-off concert at the West End's Lyric Theatre.

Bailey and a "plethora of special guests" will perform an "evening of musical theatre" on 12 October 2015. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday (22 June).

"I can't wait to take the stage in London's incredible West End and have the chance to perform some of my favourite musical theatre numbers," said Bailey. "It's going to be a fantastic night with a few surprises for the audience."

Before winning the X Factor in 2013, Bailey worked as a prison officer and performed on cruise ships and in clubs for several years. In the grand tradition of X Factor winners, her debut single, "Skyscraper", reached Christmas number one.

Sam Bailey: Live in the West End is produced and directed by Katie Pesskin and will feature musical direction by Michael Riley.
