Carrie Hope Fletcher is currently starring as Truly Scrumptious in the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Her previous theatre credits include playing Eponine in Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre – for which she received the 2014 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Takeover in A Role, War of the Worlds arena tour and The Wind in the Willows at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

We caught up with her to find out which five items she couldn't live without.

The Sweets

CHF: I'm a little bit of a sweet fiend so I always have a tin of sweets in my dressing room that I usually take round the cast in every interval! I find it helps to keep everyone smiling!

The Jewellery Box

CHF: I'm often wearing rings and necklaces so it's always nice to have a place to put them. On my first night in Chitty my parents bought me a music jewellery box that plays "Doll on a Music Box" from the show so now it has a permanent place in my dressing room!

The Hairdryer

CHF: My hairdryer and diffuser are my best friend after a long show and a long shower!

The Sunnies

CHF: I have a pair of sunglasses that I love dearly because they make me look a little mad and they stay in my dressing room for when the sun is shining between shows!

The Disney Item

CHF: There's always something Disney themed in my dressing room! I'm a HUGE Disney nut so it's only natural!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is currently running at the Nottingham Theatre Royal until 29 May, after which it continues its tour. For a full list of dates, click here.
