West End stars to perform Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns

Adam Guettel’s song cycle Myths and Hymns will be performed in London.

West End stars will perform Guettel’s moving work about faith and yearning at Union Chapel this summer.

Featuring romantic ballads, rock, gospel and R&B, Myths and Hymns is inspired by Greek mythology and religion across the ages.

Set to appear are Luke Bayer, Kelly Mathieson, Christian Maynard, Sharon Rose, Obioma Ugoala, and Emma Williams. The event will be directed by Annabel Mutale Reed and have musical direction by Leo Munby. Please note that the cast may be subject to change.

Guettel is known for his work on musicals Floyd Collins, and The Light in the Piazza, as well as Aaron Sorkin’s To Kill A Mockingbird and Days of Wine and Roses.

The concert, produced by Lambert Jackson, will take place on Friday, 18 July.
