After a 35-year wait, the musical has finally opened in the West End
Henry Krieger and Tom Eyen's musical, Dreamgirls, received its West End premiere last night, 35 years after debuting on Broadway.
Casey Nicholaw's production stars Amber Riley as Effie White alongside Ibinabo Jack and Liisi LaFontaine as Lorrell and Deena.
We spoke to the leading ladies as well as Tyrone Huntley, Joe Aaron Reid, Adam J Bernard and more at last night's opening performance.
Directed and choreographed by Nicholaw, Dreamgirls charts the story of a female singing trio from Chicago called The Dreams in the 60s and 70s.
