Watch three Marty McFlys perform during the same Back to the Future the Musical show

Back to the Future the Musical marked the 40th anniversary of the film’s UK release earlier this week with a one-night return from former Marty McFly performers Olly Dobson and Ben Joyce.

The pair joined current lead Caden Brauch, with all three sharing the role during the performance. Watch a rendition of “Back In Time” below.

The production currently features Brauch as Marty McFly, Cory English as Doctor Emmett Brown, Maddie Grace Jepson as Lorraine Baines, Orlando Gibbs as George McFly, CJ Borger as Goldie Wilson and Marvin Berry, Alex Runicles as Biff Tannen and Talia Palamathanan as Jennifer Parker.

More than two million people have seen the show in the UK, where it is now in its fifth year at the Adelphi. It is booking until a closing date of 12 April 2026.

The musical features a book by Bob Gale and new songs by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, alongside numbers from the film. It is directed by John Rando, with design by Tim Hatley, lighting by Tim Lutkin and Hugh Vanstone, sound by Gareth Owen, video by Finn Ross, choreography by Chris Bailey and musical supervision by Nick Finlow. Orchestrations are by Ethan Popp and Bryan Crook with dance arrangements by David Chase, and casting by David Grindrod.
