Watch: Hamilton cast perform at the Grammys

Cast of smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton performed in a live stream from New York for the 2016 Grammy Awards in LA last night.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop musical about one of America's founding fathers Alexander Hamilton has been running at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York since August 2015 and has smashed box office sales. The soundtrack of the show won Best Musical Theatre Album and Miranda made his acceptance speech in verse.

The cast performed the opening song "Alexander Hamilton".
