Theatre Royal Haymarket to hold refugee benefit event

Denise Gough, Rufus Hound and Joe Pasquale are among a host of stars who will perform at a benefit event in aid of the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).

The event, taking place at Theatre Royal Haymarket on 26 February, will see a series of short plays and songs performed. They have been written and donated for the event by Richard Bean, David Edgar, Phil Porter, Michelle Terry, Stephanie Dale, Staten Cousins-Roe and Jenifer Toksvig.

They will be performed by a cast of 36 including Gough, Hound, Pasquale, Edward Bennett, Lisa Dillon, James Bolam and more.

The Great British Bake Off's Mel Giedroyc will host the event.

Tickets are available for £15, with all proceeds being donated to UNHCR to help refugees around the world. Tickets are available here.

The event has been curated by actress Emma Manton, who is currently appearing in Much Ado About Nothing and Love's Labour's Lost at the theatre.
