The spooky play will kickstart a new tour in Wolverhampton in September
Producers of The Woman in Black have announced the full cast for the upcoming The Woman in Black UK and Ireland tour.
Malcolm James will play Arthur Kipps and Mark Hawkins will play The Actor. They will be joined by understudies Jon de Ville (Arthur Kipps) and Dominic Price (The Actor).
The Woman in Black is directed by Robin Herford, with designs by Michael Holt and lighting by Kevin Sleep. It’s the first tour since The Woman in Black ended its 33-year West End run at the Fortune Theatre.
Based on Susan Hill’s thriller, the play follows Arthur Kipps, a lawyer, who believes his family is cursed by a mythic presence. Kipps then hires an actor to help exorcise his fear.
The Woman in Black tour launches at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on 6 September 2023, before heading to Cardiff, Billingham, Buxton, Aylesbury, Southend, Blackpool, Malvern, Richmond, Poole, Nottingham, Liverpool, Swindon, Norwich, Truro, York, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton, Ipswich, Bath, Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Dartford, High Wycombe, Crewe, Coventry, Belfast, Derry, and Dublin.
