The live-action version of the cartoon classic is coming soon
Mischief maker Stitch has invaded The Lion King stage in a new Disney promotion for the Lilo and Stitch film.
Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo and Stitch premieres today in the UK. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the film reimagines the 2002 animated classic, focusing on the bond between a young Hawaiian girl, Lilo, and a genetically engineered alien, Stitch.
In a fleeting new clip, Stitch has hijacked the Lyceum Theatre stage to take the place of Simba during the opening “Circle of Life” number, recreating a famous animated advert first seen for the 2002 release.
