We’ve been hearing rumours that Starlight Express might be headed for the West End next year.
Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Richard Stilgoe,
Starlight Express opened at the Apollo Victoria in London on 27 March 1984. Telling the story of a child’s dream in which his toy train set comes to life, with the actors on roller skates, the show has also been produced in numerous countries, as well as having a production on ice in 1997.
Starlight Express is currently on a UK tour until February 2013, and we hear that it might head to the Phoenix Theatre, where Blood Brothers is soon to close.
