We also spoke with the show's lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, who said that Matthew White's production was 'the best production of She Loves Me' that he's ever seen.
Strallen stars as Amalia alongside Alastair Brookshaw as Ladislav Sipos, Les Dennis as Mr Maraczek, Callum Howells as Arpad Laszlo, Katherine Kingsley as Ilona Ritter, Dominic Tighe as Steven Kodaly and Mark Umbers as Georg Nowack.
Written by Joe Masteroff, with music from Jerry Bock and lyrics from Harnick, She Loves Me tells of Amalia and Georg who work in a Parfumerie but each have anonymous romantic pen pals which they both live for. The love story inspired the films The Shop around the Corner and You've Got Mail.
She Loves Me runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 4 March 2017.
