The new musical opens 4 September 2015
New musical Crush, which is set in a 1960's school, will open at the Belgrade Theatre Coventry from 4 to 19 September.
The cast will feature Rosemary Ashe (Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins), Sara Crowe (Hay Fever, Private Lives, Calendar Girls) and Kirsty Malpass (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Stroke of Luck, Chariots of Fire).
Directed by Anna Linstrum, the production will then transfer to the Theatre Royal Brighton (22 to 26 September) and Richmond Theatre (29 September to 3 October).
The cast also includes Eleanor Brown as Judith, Stephanie Clift as Susan, Emma Harrold as Lavinia, Catherine Hayworth as Annabel, James Meunier as Dorian, Brianna Ogunbawo as Daimler, Georgia Oldman as Brenda and Charlotte Miranda-Smith as Camilla.
Crush, which is written by Maureen Chadwick, creator and writer of Waterloo Road, Footballers’ Wives and Bad Girls The Musical, is "a coming-of-age romp that celebrates schoolgirl friendships and fighting for what you believe in".
Crush is presented by Big Broad Productions, in co-production with Belgrade Theatre Coventry.
