Rachel Tucker and Anita Dobson join Wicked 10th anniversary cast

Suzie Mathers will also join from the Australian tour to play Glinda

The 10th Anniversary London cast of Wicked has been announced with Rachel Tucker returning to play Elphaba alongside Anita Dobson as Madame Morrible and Suzie Mathers as Glinda.

Executive producer Michael McCabe said: "We are delighted to announce the fantastic company that will lead us through the 10th birthday celebrations at the Apollo Victoria Theatre later this year."

Both new leads are familiar with the roles, Tucker played Elphaba in London from 2010 – 2012 and has recently been leading the Broadway cast of Wicked, Mathers joins the West End production from the Australian tour and has also toured with the show in Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand and the Philippines.

Dobson is best known for her portrayal of Angie Watts in EastEnders and has stage credits including Chicago (West End) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (RSC).

Also joining the cast is Idriss Kargbo as Boq, Alice Fearn as Standby Elphaba and original cast member Martin Ball who returns to play Doctor Dillamond.

Continuing cast members include Oliver Savile (Fiyero), Mark Curry (The Wizard), Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda).

Current London cast members Emma Hatton (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Liza Sadovy (Madame Morrible), Sean Kearns (Doctor Dillamond), Daniel Hope (Boq) and Natalie Andreou (Standby for Elphaba) will all play their final performances on Saturday 3 September 2016. New cast members will join the show from Monday 5 September.

The 8th longest running show in the West End, Wicked will celebrate their 10th anniversary in London on Tuesday 27 September, a limited number of tickets for the 10th birthday performance will go on public sale on Friday 27 May 2016.

Wicked is currently booking at the Apollo Victoria until 29 April 2017.
