Poirot thriller The Hollow completes tour cast

The full cast has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of Agatha Christie’s The Hollow, joining previously announced Peter Polycarpou as Hercule Poirot.

Luke Allen-Gale will play John Cristow and Inspector Colquhoun, with Victoria Blunt as Henrietta Angkatell, James Clyde as Gudgeon, Grace Darling as Midge, Kemi-Bo Jacobs as Veronica Craye, Sarah Moyle as Lady Lucy Angkatell, Noella Naibaho as Doris, Michael Praed as Sir Henry Angkatell, James Sheldon as Edward Angkatell and Tilly Steele as Gerda Cristow. Paula Hines rounds out the cast.

Directed by Lucy Bailey, the production features a new version by Tamsin Oglesby. It opens at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on 9 October 2026 before touring venues across the UK and Ireland through to May 2027.

Set at the country estate The Hollow, the play follows Poirot as he becomes involved in a murder investigation after a gathering of guests is interrupted by a gunshot. The production is the latest Christie adaptation from producers Fiery Angel and Bailey, following touring productions of And Then There Were None, Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile. Bailey previously directed Witness for the Prosecution in the West End.

The creative team includes set and costume designer Joanna Parker, lighting designer Chris Davey, sound designer and composer Nick Powell and casting director Ginny Schiller.

The tour opens at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from 9 to 17 October 2026, followed by Hall for Cornwall in Truro from 20 to 24 October, Richmond Theatre from 27 to 31 October, Grand Opera House in Belfast from 3 to 7 November, Newcastle Theatre Royal from 10 to 14 November, New Theatre Cardiff from 17 to 21 November and Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford from 24 to 28 November.

In 2027, the production visits Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham from 12 to 16 January, Milton Keynes Theatre from 19 to 23 January, Theatre Royal Nottingham from 26 to 30 January, Theatre Royal Brighton from 2 to 6 February, Edinburgh Festival Theatre from 9 to 13 February, His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen from 23 to 27 February, Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham from 2 to 6 March, Malvern Theatre from 16 to 20 March, Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield from 23 to 27 March, Theatre Royal Bath from 30 March to 3 April, Theatre Royal Plymouth from 13 to 17 April, The Lowry in Salford from 20 to 24 April, Leeds Playhouse from 27 April to 1 May, Norwich Theatre Royal from 4 to 8 May, Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from 11 to 15 May, Grand Opera House in York from 18 to 22 May and Theatre Royal Glasgow from 25 to 29 May.

The Hollow is produced by Fiery Angel in association with Agatha Christie Limited and the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury.
