Anyone walking down Shaftesbury Avenue last night might have been surprised by the number of excited teenage girls waiting outside the Queen’s Theatre.

The reason they were there was to catch a glimpse of US pop band the Jonas Brothers – Joe, Nick and Kevin – who had turned out to support youngest sibling Nick as he made his West End stage debut as Marius in Les Miserables.

After the show they posed for pictures with cast members including Camilla Kerslake (Cosette) and Samantha Barks (Eponine), and producer Cameron Mackintosh.

Les Miserables is now in its 25th year, and to
mark the occasion a special anniversary production is currently
touring, there’ll be a run at the Barbican (its original home) later
this year, as well as an anniversary concert at the O2 Arena –
which Nick Jonas will be involved in.
