The weather may be cold and grey but these newly released production photos of The Sunshine Boys are sure to brighten your day. Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths star as an ageing vaudevillian team in Neil Simon’s award-wining comedy, which is directed by Thea Sharrock and opens at the Savoy Theatre on 17 May (previews from 27 April).

Kings of comedy, Willie Clark (DeVito) and Al Lewis (Griffiths), aka The Sunshine Boys, haven’t spoken to each other in years. When CBS call for the vaudevillian greats to be re-united for a nostalgic History of Comedy special, past grudges resurface as they take centre stage once more. Ageing ailments aside, can this legendary double-act overcome their differences for one last show?

The Sunshine Boys continues at the Savoy Theatre for a strictly limited run until 28 July 2012. The cast also features Rebecca Blackstone, Nick Blakeley, Peter Cadden, Johnnie Fiori, Adam Levy, Clementine Marlowe-Hunt and William Maxwell.
