Park Theatre starts Theatre Heroes Day

The day is a celebration in honour of Henry Irving

ACS Random and Park Theatre have launched Theatre Heroes Day, a day in honour of theatre’s first knight, Sir Henry Irving.

All day today, the Park and ACS are encouraging people to tweet and tell them who their theatre heroes are, using the hashtag #theatreheroesday.

To also mark the 110th anniversary of Irving's death, a double bill of The Knight From Nowhere – + The Bells, which will open at the Park Theatre next month.

The cast for both plays includes Alethea Steven, Alexandra Parry, Andrew Shepherd, Angela Ferns, Charlie Allen, John-Paul Conway, Lynsey-Anne Moffat, Richard Woolnough, Rosemarie Lovegrove and Simon Blake.

Directed by Lucy Foster, The Knight From Nowhere is written by Andrew Shepherd, with Leopold Lewis’s The Bells, also adapted by Shepherd.

The Knight From Nowhere – + The Bells will run in a double bill at the Park Theatre from 25 November to 19 December 2015.
