Casting has been announced for Barney Norris' new play Nightfall at the Bridge Theatre.

Ophelia Lovibond, who stars as Izzy Gould in W1A, will take the role of Lou. She stars alongside Ukweli Roach as Pete and Sion Daniel Young as Ryan.

Lovibond's other credits include The Stepmother at Chichester Festival Theatre, The Libertine at Theatre Royal Haymarket and The Effect at Sheffield Theatres. Roach performed in Romeo and Juliet and Helen at Shakespeare's Globe and has starred in Humans on TV. Young starred in Killology at the Royal Court and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Norris' play is set on a farm outside Winchester as Ryan struggles to make a living. Lou, Ryan's sister, returns home following their father's death and their mother Jenny battles to keep her children on the path she wants for them.

The show opens in April and will be directed by Laurie Sansom. Full casting for the show will be announced in due course.

Nightfall runs at Bridge Theatre from 8 May to 3 June with previews from 28 April.
