A packed agenda for the Oval Office this summer!

Casting has been announced for the summer season of Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre, with Cole Escola returning to the role of Mary Todd Lincoln ahead of Jinkx Monsoon taking over later in the run.
As already revealed, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy will welcome Escola back from 20 July to 15 August, before Monsoon assumes the role from 17 August to 26 September. The production is currently booking at the Trafalgar Theatre until 2 January 2027.
It has also been confirmed that there will be a filmed performance later this month, with Escola reprising their Tony Award-winning performance as Mary Todd Lincoln.
On top of this, Giles Terera will return as Mary’s Husband for the filmed performances, alongside two-time Emmy Award nominee Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher and original cast members Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
For the remainder of the summer season, Scott Karim will play Mary’s Husband from 17 August to 26 September, while Dino Fetscher, Kate O’Donnell and Oliver Stockley will appear as Mary’s Teacher, Mary’s Chaperone and Mary’s Husband’s Assistant respectively from 3 August to 26 September.
The summer casting is as follows:
From 20 July to 1 August, Cole Escola plays Mary Todd Lincoln, with Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
From 3 to 15 August, Cole Escola continues as Mary Todd Lincoln, joined by Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
From 17 August to 26 September, Jinkx Monsoon takes over as Mary Todd Lincoln, with Scott Karim as Mary’s Husband, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
The production currently stars Mason Alexander Park as Mary Todd Lincoln, alongside O’Donnell, Stockley, Fetscher and Karim. Park’s final performance will be on 18 July, while O’Donnell, Stockley, Fetscher and Karim will play their final performances on 26 September. Casting from 28 September onwards will be announced at a later date.
Written by Escola and directed by Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! is an 80-minute one-act comedy imagining the final weeks of Mary Todd Lincoln before Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
The play premiered off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in January 2024 before transferring to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre later that year. It made its West End premiere at the Trafalgar Theatre in December 2025 and won Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at the 2026 Olivier Awards.
The creative team includes set designer dots, costume designer Holly Pierson, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer and composer Daniel Kluger, sound designer Drew Levy, wig designer Leah J. Loukas, arranger David Dabbon, casting director Stuart Burt and US casting director Henry Russell Bergstein.
Associate creatives are scenic associate Zoë Hurwitz, costume associate Debo Andrews, lighting associate Tom Turner, sound associate Chris Reid, wigs associate Kim Kasim and music direction associate Caitlin Morgan.
