”The Pitchfork Disney” playwright’s new show will open in June
A new show by playwright Philip Ridley will receive its world premiere at a secret location in London in June.
Soho Theatre will unite with Olivier Award-winning DEM Productions and emerging company PIGDOG to create a unique theatre experience and bring Ridley's play to life.
Karagula, which is billed as one of the largest productions ever staged Off-West End, is a fantasy epic set in an alternative universe and explores our constant need to find meaning in life.
Director Max Barton commented: "It’s a thrilling prospect to be on the brink of realising this epic play. It's so exciting to be working with the ground-breaking Philip Ridley again. In order to bring the wildly imaginative world of Karagula to life, we have assembled a brilliantly diverse group of artists, who bring non-traditional skills and vision to the process. I can't wait to see what this team will collectively achieve."
Karagula will run from 15 June to 9 July at a secret location.
