New musical alert!

Southwark Playhouse Borough will host the world premiere of Flyby, a new musical by Theo Jamieson.
Directed and co-created by Adam Lenson, the production was developed at the National Theatre in 2025 and follows the relationship between an engineer named Daniel and a documentary filmmaker named Emily, exploring Daniel’s disappearance into space and shifting time periods. It will be running from 3 April to 16 May 2026.
Poppy Gilbert will play Emily opposite Stuart Thompson as Daniel. The cast also features Rupert Young as Jonathan Jay, Gina Beck as Amy Greenwood, and Simbi Akande as Grace Adams.
The creative team includes set designer Libby Todd and lighting designer Ben Jacobs.
Jamieson previously composed the BBC musical U.Me and wrote the score for the stage adaptation of The Famous Five. Lenson’s directing credits at Southwark Playhouse include Cable Street and The Rink.
