We just can’t get enough of Morecambe and Wise, can we? More than a decade after The Right Size‘s The Play What I Wrote was a star-studded West End hit, another homage to one of Britain’s most famous comedy double acts looks to be London bound, after its success this month at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Eric and Little Ern, created and performed by Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens, recreates some of the best-known moments from a vast archive of Eric and Ernie television and stage performances, performed alongside new material created by the performers in the style of the late, great comedians in their heyday. We hear that the two-hander will have a limited West End season in November…
Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise worked together for 43 years, from 1941 until Morecambe’s death in 1984. Wise died in 1999.
Eric and Little Ern is directed by Owen Lewis and produced by James Seabright Productions.
