Martin Kemp to star in Million Dollar Quartet in London

The Spandau Ballet singer will play Sam Phillips over the Christmas period

It has been announced that Martin Kemp will take over from Jason Donovan in Million Dollar Quartet this winter.

The Spandau Ballet singer will play the role of record producer Sam Phillips who discovered the talents of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins.

He will take over the role at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 17 December as part of the Southbank Centre's Winter Festival.

The cast also includes Martin Kaye as Lewis, Robbie Durham as Cash, Ross William Wild as Presley, Matt Wycliffe as Perkins and Katie Ray as Dyanne.
