Mamma Mia! announces new West End company as it extends run

Mamma Mia! has announced a new West End cast.

The new company will begin performances at the Novello Theatre from Monday 12 October 2026. The production has also extended booking through to 2 October 2027.

Sara Poyzer and Richard Standing will continue in the roles of Donna and Sam respectively, alongside Vivien Carter (Anything Goes) as Tanya, Laura Medforth as Rosie, Daniel Crowder as Harry and Rakesh Boury as Bill.

Ellie Gilbert-Grey will play Sophie, with Kyle Cox (& Juliet) as Sky. Natorii Illidge (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) and Foxy Valentine will play Ali and Lisa respectively, while Edward Turner (Grease) and Charlie Garton (Matilda the Musical) will play Eddie and Pepper. Emma Odell (Sister Act) will play Donna at certain performances.

New members of the ensemble include Margaret Atta, Dan Burstow, Will Forgave, Erin-Sophie Halliday, Nicole Ingram, Harry Jack, Imogen Malone, David Nairne, Andy Rees, Julie Repérant, Beth Shaw and Matt Trevorrow. They join returning company members Matthew Barrow, Lawrence Guntert, Laura Jayne Hardie, Deena Kapadia, Benjamin Kempton, Tom Parsons, Emily Squibb and Ria Turner.

The musical celebrated its 27th birthday on 6 April 2026 and is currently the third longest-running musical in West End history.

Mamma Mia! opened at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6 April 1999, transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004 before moving to its current home at the Novello Theatre in 2012. The London production has been seen by more than 11 million people and has played almost 11,000 performances.

The musical features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with a book by Catherine Johnson. It is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast, with design by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
