Jonathan Bailey wins first WhatsOnStage Award

His show, Richard II, also won for The Londoner Award for Best Play Revival

Jonathan Bailey has picked up his first WhatsOnStage Award.

Bailey starred in the Bridge Theatre’s revival of Richard II, which itself won the Londonder Award for Best Play Revival at this year’s event, currently taking place at The London Palladium.

Previously nominated for his appearances in Cock and Company, Bailey is next set to appear on stage in Marianne Elliott’s revival of Sunday in the Park with George, opposite Wicked co-star Ariana Grande. That show will run at the Barbican in the summer of 2027, with more details coming later this spring.
