As Bristol Old Vic celebrates their 250th anniversary, we delved through their archives to uncover a selection of photos from various productions over the years.

Watch out for a young Alan Rickman in Ubu Rex in 1977 and Daniel Day Lewis in Old King Cole (1979).

This weekend marks the 250th anniversary of the theatre with celebrations taking place across the weekend. Highlights include an anniversary gala with appearances from Caroline Quentin, Greta Scacchi, Tim Pigott-Smith and Michael Morpurgo and street festivals with arts, food and theatre events.
