Images have been released offering a first look at the cast of Love in Idleness in rehearsal.

Anthony Head leads the revival of Terence Rattigan's 1944 play, which also features Call the Midwife star Helen George and Olivier Award winner Eve Best.

The cast of Trevor Nunn's production at the Menier Chocolate Factory is completed by Edward Bluemel, who recently starred in ITV's World War Two drama The Halcyon.

Rattigan's play tells of an 18-year-old (Bluemel) who returns from Canada during the war and is shocked to find his widowed mother (Best) is now the mistress of a cabinet minister (Head).

Nunn returns to the Menier having previously directed A Little Night Music and Aspects of Love at the venue, and also directs Peter Shaffer's Lettice and Lovage from 17 May to 8 July.

Love in Idleness runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 20 March to 29 April, with previews from 9 March.
