The Manchester venue has also announced productions of ”Yank!” and ”The Stationmaster”
Broadway musical Little Women will receive its UK premiere at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester next year.
With a book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, Little Women is based on Louisa May Alcott's classic 1869 novel about the adventures of the March sisters during Civil War America. It opened on Broadway in 2005 starring Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern, and ran for 137 performances.
Little Women, which will run from 9 November to 9 December 2017, sees the Manchester venue reunite with producer Katy Lipson and Aria Entertainment, following their work on the acclaimed revival of Parade earlier this year.
They have also announced two other productions for next year including World War Two love story, Yank! (9 March to 8 April 2017), and new musical The Stationmaster (7 September to 30 September 2017).
Inspired by Horvath’s Judgment Day and translated by Christopher Hampton, a workshop of The Stationmaster ran as part of From Page To Stage festival last year. Directed by Bronagh Lagan, the musical has a book by Susannah Pearse and music and lyrics by Tim Connor, and is set in a small town in the Lake District in the '50s.
