Harry Potter and the Cursed Child extends in the West End

A futher 250,000 seats will be available to December next year

Booking has extended for JK Rowling's eighth Harry Potter story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre.

A further 250,000 seats will go on sale on 4 August and the show will now run until December 2017. Booking opens at 11am and tickets will be priced from £15 per part. There will be 300 tickets for £20 or less per part.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child officially opened this week to a string of five and four star reviews. The play is the latest instalment in the story of Rowling's wizard, this time focusing on Harry Potter as an adult, with a family.

Jack Thorne's play is based on an original story from Rowling, director John Tiffany and Thorne. The piece is presented in two parts and both parts are intended to be seen on the same day or consecutive evenings.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child runs at the Palace Theatre until 10 December 2017.
