Producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have announced that the embargo on press reviews will now lift at 00:01 on Tuesday 26 July, five days earlier than originally planned.

The announcement means reviews will be published five days before the official script book which is currently due to be released at 00:01 on 31 July.

Written by Jack Thorne and directed by John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I and II take up where the seventh book finished in JK Rowling's saga about the boy wizard.

The plays follow the trials of Harry Potter who works in the Ministry of Magic with a wife and three kids nineteen years later. His youngest son, Albus, is struggling with his family legacy. The show synopsis continues: "Both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

Previews began on 7 June 2016 at the Palace Theatre and the show is currently booking through to May 2017.
