”Of Thee I Sing” will play at the Royal Festival Hall on 30 July
Hannah Waddingham (A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Game of Thrones), Hadley Fraser (City of Angels, Coriolanus) and Tom Edden (Les Miserables, One Man, Two Guvnors) will lead the cast of George and Ira Gershwin's Of Thee I Sing at the Royal Festival Hall on 30 July.
The concert performance, the second in a series of musical concerts at the Southbank centre, will be directed by Shaun Kerrison, with musical direction by Michael England.
The ensemble includes John Barr, Nicholas Colicos and Christopher Doyle.
Featuring songs including the title song and "Who Could Ask For Anything More?", Of Thee I Sing takes a satirical look at American politics.
Producers Ollie Rosenblatt and Elliot Davis commented: "Of Thee I Sing is a rarely performed work and the first musical to win the Pulitzer Prize. We are delighted to be able to showcase the Gershwins's wonderful score under the musical direction of Michael England and the concert direction of Shaun Kerrison."
