The production was commissioned to mark the 150th anniversary of the hotel
Casting has been announced for The Armour, which premieres at The Langham hotel in London next month.
Produced by Defibrillator, the writer Ben Ellis was the winner of The Langham 1865 Writer-in-Residence Award, launched to mark the 150th anniversary of "Europe's first grand hotel".
The Armour consists of three interlinking stories, taking place at three different times over the course of the Langham's lifetime – 1871, 1973 and the present day.
According to press material, "Exploring the themes of power, luxury, empire and fragility, the play will be performed in three specially curated, intimate spaces within the hotel."
Defibrillator artistic director James Hillier directs S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt (One Man Two Guvnors) in the role of Poppy and Finty Williams (Luise Miller, Bedlam) as Eugenie.
They will be joined by Thomas Craig, Simon Darwen, Siubhan Harrison and Sean Murray in the site-specific production, which runs from 3 March to 4 April 2015.
