Thom Southerland’s production opens at the Southwark Playhouse this evening
Production images have been released of Grand Hotel which opens at Southwark Playhouse later this evening.
Directed by Thom Southerland, the production reunites the team behind the WhatsOnStage Award-winning production of Titanic, which recently had a run in Toronto.
Leading the company will be Italian musical theatre star Christine Grimandi, making her UK stage debut. As previously announced, Philip Rham withdrew from the production last week due to a family emergency. He has been replaced by David Delve.
Grand Hotel, which has a book by Luther Davis and music and lyrics by George Forrest and Robert Wright, premiered on Broadway in 1989, ran for over 1,000 performances and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards, winning five.
