First look at Marcia Gay Harden and Brian J Smith in Sweet Bird of Youth

Images have been released showing Marcia Gay Harden making her UK theatre debut in Sweet Bird of Youth at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Harden was nominated for a Tony Award when she made her Broadway debut in Angels in America, and will star alongside Brian J Smith in Tennessee Williams' play.

Sweet Bird of Youth is about a fading Hollywood legend whose comeback film is a disaster, so she travels around under a pseudonym finding drink and drugs on her way.

Jonathan Kent directs the production, and the cast also includes Emma Amos, Graham Butler, Rob Ostlere and Sam Phillips.

Sweet Bird of Youth runs at Chichester Festival Theatre from 9 to 24 June, with previews from 2 June.
