London
The musical is back in the West End for the first time since 2007
Directed by Trevor Nunn (Travesties) and starring Andy Nyman and Judy Kuhn, the revival of the hit musical will run at the Playhouse Theatre from 21 March to 15 June. The theatre will be specially transformed into an immersive space for the transfer, matching the staging at the Menier.
Nunn's sell-out production, which runs at the Menier until 9 March, was given a five-star write-up by WhatsOnStage critic Sarah Crompton, who said it was "an extraordinarily emotional and powerful telling of the way that change affects the life of the milkman Tevye, his wife Golde and their five daughters."
Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein's musical features such classic songs as "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker".
Full casting for the West End production is to be confirmed.
Tickets are available through a pre-sale on WhatsOnStage until 4 February, with a special no-booking fee offer for certain performances.
